An Introduction To Turning Tools

The cutting part of the turning tool is composed of the main cutting edge, the secondary cutting edge, the rake face, the main rake face and the secondary rake face, and the tip angle. The combination of the cutting part and the shank (i.e., the clamping part) of the turning tool mainly includes integral, welded, mechanical clamping and welding-mechanical clamping. Mechanical clamping tools avoid stress and cracks in carbide inserts during high-temperature welding, and the shank can be used multiple times. Mechanical clamping turning tools are generally mechanical clamping turning tools that clamp the blades with screws and pressure plates, and are equipped with indexable inserts. The blade can be indexed and continued to be used after being blunt, and the stop and change time is short, so it has achieved rapid development.
