There are many processing methods for threads, among which the method of turning is a commonly used processing method. Regardless of the type of thread being turned, a tight motion relationship must be maintained between the spindle of the lathe and the tool: for each rotation of the spindle (i.e. one revolution of the workpiece), the tool should move evenly by one lead. The rotation of the workpiece and the movement of the turning tool are realized by the drive of the spindle, so as to ensure a strict motion relationship between the workpiece and the tool.
